Lady Knights Shine At Classic

This past weekend Mrs. Behr, Miss Westra and the varsity volleyball team made the long haul to Mercer County High School near Aledo to participate with eight area schools in the Judy Richmond Volleyball Classic Tournament. Unity faced AFC first off in the morning losing 17-25 and 9 -25. They then took on Galva and Mercer County....defeating them both. Unity ended up 2nd in their pool. The Lady Knights faced Ridgewood for 3rd place, but fell just a bit short. They ended up 4th place overall. A great finish among eight, much larger public schools.

A delightful and noteworthy highlight was that out of around 120 girls, six girls were voted to an All Tournament Team, one of those girls being our very own Hannah Dykstra!
This is a great accomplishment!

Unity’s Volleyball Program Supports
Fulton Food Pantry

The Unity Lady Knights hosted a “can drive” for the Fulton Food Pantry on Thursday October 1^st. Fans were encouraged to show their support by bringing in items for the Pantry. In return they received a ticket for a free popcorn. The night began at 5:30 P.M. as the Junior Varsity took on Morningstar Academy. Following the JV our Varsity went to defend their court. The night was a huge success as the stands were full and we received a great collection of goods for the pantry. Thank you to all who helped make this night a fun and successful event!
