Christmas at Unity Christian
Unity’s annual Christmas concert was held on Friday night, December 7. It was spectacular as ever. The evening opened up with the sweet voices of the River City Day Care and Pre-School singing “Happy Birthday To Jesus” among others.
Following RCDC was the elementary children K-2, directed by Mrs. Linda Huizenga, (with a broken wrist!) They sang “Away in a Manger” and other songs. Then the 3-6th grade children sang and did some readings from scripture. After that there was a brief intermission with cookies and punch while many families went home to get their little ones to bed.
The combined Junior and Senior High band played some remarkable music for our enjoyment. The favorite was “Sleigh Ride” with the clippity-clop and the sound of the whip cracking! Next up was the Junior high choir with their beautiful rendition of “Angels We Have Heard High” and a few other songs.
Following the Junior high choir was the very professional-looking Senior High choir, directed by Mr. Mike Fee. They sounded beautiful. They were accompanied by of Mrs. Deana Jakobs on piano and by MinAe Parks on violin.
Wonderful job everyone!
