The Value of a Disciplined Faith

In our walk with the Lord, we often treat “discipline” as a rigid set of rules or a heavy sense of duty. However, the Bible shows us that true spiritual discipline is actually an affirmation of God’s faithfulness. It is the practice of staying anchored in His promises even when our circumstances feel chaotic.
As it says in Deuteronomy 31:6“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Applying discipline to our faith means choosing to be “strong and courageous” not through our own willpower, but by trusting that He is already moving on our behalf. When we remain patient and faithful during trials, we discover that the “waiting room” of life isn’t a place of wasted time—it’s a sanctuary for growth. These seasons allow us to exercise our trust in ways that easy times never could.
This week, let’s shift our perspective: see your challenges not as obstacles to your faith, but as the very environment where your relationship with the Lord is strengthened.
For HIS Glory,
