Parent-teacher conferences are a wonderful reminder that education—especially education at UCS—is a partnership, a covenant. Parents and teachers come together with a shared purpose: to help students grow not only in knowledge and skill, but also in character and faith. These conversations aren’t just about grades; they’re opportunities to celebrate how God is shaping each child day by day.
Hebrews 10:24 — “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.”
Growth doesn’t happen overnight. Sometimes it’s slow and steady; other times it comes through challenges or even mistakes. But just as God is patient with us in our own learning, we are called to extend that same patience and encouragement to our students—and to one another.
As we gather for conferences, let’s look through a lens of grace, seeing each child as a work in progress, created in the image of God and guided by His hand. The same is true for us as adults—parents and teachers alike—we, too, are works in progress. Together, home and school, coupled with the church, can spur one another on in love, cheering for the growth God is faithfully bringing about.
For HIS Glory,
