Unity Christian has been Blessed

          The high school art program has grown by leaps and bounds over the past four years.  The trouble is that the art room didn’t get any bigger. For that reason, it became apparent that sooner or later, Unity would need a larger room.

Last May, a proposal for a grant to build a new art room was presented to an area foundation. The proposal involved more than just a new art room: it involved the removal of walls, building new walls, constructing a new storage room, moving a door in the English room, ordering new equipment and more.

On June 10, we received news that the foundation had awarded Unity a generous grant. Praise God for generous people who understand the vision of Unity Christian School!  Over the summer, a ton of work was done to make changes to the rooms and hallways to accommodate the new art room.                                                                                                                                                             

A new handcrafted sign that reads Glorifying God Through Artistic Expression, reveals the motivation behind the project. Mrs. Readdy, the art teacher said, "I never really thought this day would come, but I recalled Matthew 19:26 that says, ‘With God all things are possible.' and it was so, by His grace."

Now Unity has a state-of-the-ART room with plenty of seating, drawing tables, storage, a Smart Board, four sinks and beautiful windows for natural light. Stop in and see this work that God has done.
