Little Hoops Developmental Basketball Program |
The Little Hoops Program is intended to acquaint elementary school students with the fundamentals of basketball and serve as an opportunity to put these skills to practice in a low-key, intramural type game setting.
Little Hoops sessions are held on Saturday mornings at the secondary gym generally running for five or six-weekly sessions beginning in January. Any elementary student, grades 4-6th may participate in the program regardless of past experience in the sport.
The first two weeks of the program are devoted to direct instruction and skill development. The remaining sessions will be devoted actual game play. Each 'hoopster' is guaranteed equal playing time, regardless of skill level.
