Mr. Kotman is the History teacher at Unity Christian. 

As a teacher of history, I am able to see its applications every day in the events going on in the world around us.  History sheds light on why things are the way they are and it helps us to understand where things may be going. 

The study of history also gives us a unique opportunity to try to understand the massive scope of God's plan (this is limited, of course, because truly understanding all of God's plan is beyond any human). 

Everyday I have new "aha!" moments (sometimes in the middle of class) in one of these areas.  This is what makes history so alive, important, and exciting to me.  It is my effort to try and pass along, not only information, but also this feeling.
